Raquel and I had the oppoortunity to crew for Ranelle Rubin and her fantastic gelding, Fellow, for the Mother's Day Weekend, Washoe Lake Ride! We arrived on Friday night and stayed through awards dinner on Saturday. Ranelle's sister, Tara along with brother-in-law Brad, took wonderful care of Raquel and I. Ranelle's son, Alex, kept Raquel busy inbetween vet checks playing Monopoly (which he won every time quite the Real Estate Mogul), and they both worked the Ride Camp cafeteria helping prep and serve dinner to the riders and guest. Dinner was GREAT! The Ride Management was superb. All of the Ride participants were cordial, friendly, and above all in good spirits. All and all it was a great day! Ranelle and Fellow came in 11th out of, I believe, 60 finishers. Way to go Ranelle and Fellow.
